MDI Inc. demonstrates a passive, simple-to-use system that isolates all thoracic veins, effectively blocking significant pathways for signals that trigger atrial fibrillation. Additional testing in a controlled study will be designed to demonstrate safety and efficacy.
Welcome to MDI Inc.
In 2010, MDI was founded to develop a new technology for treatment of atrial
fibrillation (AF) with the goal of bringing a simpler solution to the treatment of this
serious condition, estimated to occur in over ten million people worldwide and
increasing at about 2% annually.
Based on more than two decades of clinical and device development expertise,
MDI has developed a therapy that addresses three fundamental disadvantages
of current therapies: complexity of procedure, lengthy procedure time, and high
operator skill requirement. Because of limitations of current therapies, we believe
the worldwide market is significantly under penetrated with an opportunity for a
safe, simple and effective procedure to rapidly expand the served market.
MDI has assembled a strong team of innovative thinkers who are passionate
about developing this novel technology with one goal in mind, "Improve the lives
of patients through innovation that simplifies a complex and time-consuming
procedure."
